ATIP Alert

About ATIP Alert

ATIP Alert is a lightweight file-based app for publishing Access to Information records. This 0.9.0 backbone is intentionally simple and separate from OPQ Alert.

Raison d'ĂȘtre

ATIP records can reveal decisions, evidence, communications, and omissions that are hard to understand when they remain scattered across portals, PDFs, news stories, and private notes. ATIP Alert exists to make those records easier to find, cite, preserve, and connect to public-interest follow-up.

Folder Model

Use a flat r/ repository folder. Do not create one subfolder per record.

PDFs should use short stable names, such as A-2024-00123.pdf. TXT summaries should use descriptive names, such as A-2024-00123_HC_vaccine_safety_records.txt.

Metadata

The main metadata file is atip_index.csv. Some ATIP records may have no local PDF; in that case, use source and response URL fields.

Contributor Workflow

Use Contributor login to submit ATIP records, upload optional documents, edit metadata, and add analysis or follow-up notes. If you want to contribute but do not have login details, use Contact us.
